Peripera Banana Milk Blur Pang REVIEW

Hello, guys! Welcome to my blog~ Today, I am going to talk about the Peripera Banana Milk Blur Pang primer/tone-up cream. I will also touch a little bit on the Pure Milk and the Peach Milk ones just to let you know their functions because... I didn't buy them. I only bought the Banana Milk. Sorry.... 😅

This, is what the Banana Milk looks like:

And these are the complete set of the Blur Pang line:

I bought this at my local drugstore. If you're living in Malaysia, you can purchase this on any Watson store. You can also purchase this on websites like Hermo or Althea. The price for each tube is RM 49.50.

These are base products that are meant to tone-up/even out the discoloration on your face. In addition to that, each type also has a specific function. The texture of these products is very lotion-like though not as greasy, and as it dries down and got absorbed into the skin, it becomes very smooth and almost velvety.

The Peach Milk Blur

This cream provides CC (color correcting) functions. The color of this product is a very faded pastel pink and it smells faintly like peaches. Some people might like it, some people don't. I personally don't.

The Pure Milk Blur

This cream claims to double as skin care and tone-up product. I don't know about the skin care part, but it sure as heck made my skin look white. I swatched it on my arm and decided right there and then that this is not the one for me. Although, I do like the scent of this product. It smells of a very refreshing body powder and I find it very interesting.

The Banana Milk Blur (The one I bought!)

Last but not least, this cream provides a very natural blur and cover effect. It claims to blur out any imperfections, discoloration, dark spots and soft wrinkles on your face. I reeaaaaally love the smell of this cream! It smells exactly like the Korean Banana Milk which, I LOVE. Every time I put it on my face, it makes me want to buy the actual banana milk. HOWEVER, as I tested this cream out a few times, I noticed that the blur effect is not really that effective. I can still see my dark and acne spots peeking through even after I put on foundation. I also found that you have to give it enough time to dry down before you put on foundation/concealer/BB cream or else, it will not blend well. Apart from that, I also noticed that, if I don't give it time to dry and just hastily put foundation on top of it, it will make my foundation looks super cakey. And no matter how much I blend, it refused to and just sits on top of that cream, making my face looks hella stuffy.

All in all, even if this cream is not greasy, it is quite complicated to work with. If you have an oily/acne-prone skin and is not the type to take your sweet time doing make-up then, this product is definitely not for you. With wrong application, this cream will suffocate your pores and breaks you out. One good thing about this cream though, is that it certainly does tone-up your skin and makes it looks brighter and more livelier. So, if you work with this cream carefully, maybe on special days when you want your skin to appear as if it glows from within, or you want to look as if you had enough sleep and drink enough water, then this cream is definitely an option. I'm not saying it's the best and only option... But, you can take this cream into consideration, especially if you're on a tight budget and want a tone-up cream that actually works and last long.
