Beauty Product Review: Etude House Sweet Pudding Tone-Up Cream

Hello everyone!
This is my first time writing a review on a blog. Usually, I would just post a picture of the products that I bought on Instagram and write a review about it in the captions. However, now that I've graduated from Uni, I decided to get serious with beauty products reviewing. So, HERE I AM!! :)

Now, let's get down to the main point shall we?
A few days ago, I purchased the Etude House Sweet Pudding Tone-Up Cream from its store in Sunway Pyramid. At first, I didn't plan to go there at all but I went through a very rough day so, I decided to relief my stress with a shopping spree.

There is two types of cream: 1) for oily skin (green cap), and 2) dry skin (white cap)

In Malaysia, each one of these costs RM 75 and you'll get 50ml of product. I don't know about you, but, so far, I've never seen a brand that offers THIS MUCH tone-up cream in ONE jar. It comes with a very simple packaging (as you can see from the pictures above) and I am not complaining! I, personally, love minimal packaging like this. I  think it's really cute and looks so Etude-like. The jar also comes with a mini spatula.

I bought the Green one because I have oily skin. It promises to control oil and excessive sebum with a tone -up effect that will makes skin looks clean and bright and you know what, it delivers just as it has promised! The first time I wore it, I put way too much product on and my face looks like it had been bleached to white. So, CAUTION! DO NOT put too much of it if you don't wanna give your neighborhood grannies a heart attack. However, you don't have to panic... After a minute or two, once the product had fully sipped into your skin, it will turn back to normal. The cream has a velvety texture with a smooth and matte finish but it is not drying. In fact, after I wear it, my face looks and feel very refreshed. The salesgirl claims that it can be used as moisturizer and sleeping pack. However, I recommend AGAINST it. I tried wearing it a a moisturizer and left it on my face overnight - I woke up with small acnes on my face. Therefore, I'd recommend you to only use it as a day cream.

As for the other tone-up cream, I bought it for my best friend as she has dry skin. She claims that this cream is suitable to be used as both, day cream and also moisturizer as it contains moisture-rich formula. After only a few days wearing it, I asked for her reviews and already, she claimed that the cream makes her skin look clearer, brighter and more luminous! Nevertheless, if you have oily areas on your face, it might be a little heavy for your skin. But, if you don't mind the feeling of wearing a layer of thick moisturizer on your skin, then it won't be a problem. This cream also has a velvety texture. The difference between this cream and the other is that, it has a peachy scent and does not feel as cooling.

Last but not least, you know what's the best part of this cream? It can also be used as primer! I used it before I applied my foundation and I can see the result immediately. I have a lot of acne scars and dark spots on my face so, normally, I  have to use lots of concealer to hide them. After applying this cream, I noticed that my skin tone looks much more even and my face looks less tired though I didn't get much sleep the previous night. I also noticed that I used much less foundation/concealer when I wear this cream as primer.

Oh, ONE last note, for those with sensitive skin, I DO NOT recommend you to try any off these creams as it also has whitening effect which can be a little too strong for you guys.
Thank you so much for reading my first post! Please, feel free to hit that FOLLOW button if you'd like to read more! :)
