Nivea Creme: Review and Uses
Hello blog viewers (if you're just passing through) and readers (if you really read this), today I'm going to talk about my favourite cream/lotion of all time: Nivea Creme! The reason being is, I ordered a couple of things of Hermo.my yesterday and it will take about a week to arrive. So, I'm just going to post about my favourite skincare products/make-ups until I receive my orders.
Now, let's get down to business!
For those who have been living under the rock, Nivea Creme is probably one of the oldest moisturizer in the world. It was formulated in 1911 and has been providing the skin with everything that it needs to stay pure and moisturized. It has been an all time beauty classic (according to the Nivea website) and I agree! My mum, my grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles ALL have been using it since they were small.

Nivea creme contains Aqua, Eucerite, Paraffinum Liquidum, Cera Microcristallina, Glycerin, Paraffin, Panthenol, Decyl Oleate, Octyldodecanol, Aluminum Stearates, Citric Acid, Magnesium Sulfate, Magnesium Stearate, Parfum, Limonene, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool, Citronellol, Benzyl Benzoate and Cinnamyl Alcohol. This blend of mineral oil and paraffin create a protective barrier that slows down water loss. Meanwhile, glycerin attracts water from the environment into the skin thus, balancing the skin's oil-water content.

This product has a very thick texture and consistency which work extremely well for dry skin. However, if you have oily skin like me, it might be a little uncomfortable. Nevertheless, you can still wear it as a moisturizer, but be mindful with the amount.
If you are wondering what makes Nivea Creme stands out more than other brand, let me tell you why: it has many other uses instead of just a moisturizer!. Apart from your face, you can also apply it ALL over your body. Let me list out some of the things you can do with this magic potion:
See, Nivea Creme is not your typical moisturizer. It's a work of magic! If you're travelling, you don't have to worry about how to stash your skincare products into your luggage. Bring a tin of Nivea Creme and you got yourself a moisturizer, sleeping pack, body lotion, lip balm and make-up remover all in one container!
If you doubt this post, go to your nearest drugstore and buy a tin (it's suuuuuper cheap!) and give it a try yourself. :))

- Leave-on hair conditioner. Yes. After washing your hair, take a proper amount onto your palm, and rub it on your hair. You will notice that your hair feels so soft, less frizzy and easier to work with.
- Sleeping pack. Yes. Throw away your pricey sleeping pack and opt for this creme instead. It doesn't cost much and it is available at any drugstore world wide! This creme will do just as any high-end, expensive sleeping pack do: keep your skin moisturized as you sleep. As you might know, when we sleep, our body tend to get dehydrated and because of that, our skin will produce more oil to keep itself hydrated. In return, we'll probably wake-up with excessive oil on our faces (and breakouts. yikes!). Wearing a sleeping pack before bed will help your skin maintain its moisture by balancing its oil-water content. And welp, this creme helps to do JUST THAT.
- Make-up remover. If you're into the Korean skincare routine, you'll know that they're all about the double cleansing step right? First, you have to take off your make up with oil/balm cleanser before washing your face with your normal cleanser. Well, if you own this creme, you don't have to buy an oil/balm cleanser because THIS will remove your make-up better than any of it! For me, I apply this all over my face, slowly rub my face in circular motion until I can see my foundation dissolving and then, wipe my face with a clean cotton pad. It can take off even my waterproof mascara and eyeliner! After that, I'll proceed with my normal cleanser to fully cleanse my face off any leftover dirt.
- Lip balm. Because of its thick consistency, it works really well as a lip balm too! I apply it every morning and night and Oh! a little tip for you guys, you can also use this as a lip scrub. Just simply apply it on your lips, take a dry face cloth and rub it off. Your lips will feel more smooth, soft and moisturized.
- All-in-one body lotion. Like I said before, you can literally use it ALL over your body. You can use it a hand/feet lotion, elbow/knee/sole softener and also neck creme when you're feeling like giving yourself a little massage after a long day... ;)
